1. Goy Alert!

Want to impress your Jewish friends by cooking some of "those people's" favorite foods? Well, here you go: Courtesy of the Boston Globe

And for the record, the best way to a Jew's heart is through a Latke. They're really that good.

Side note: for the healthy Jew in your life... 8 healthy oil alternatives... but I wouldnt risk it on the latkes.. don't want to fuck those up.

2. RIP Tollbooth Willie

Gov: Time running out for toll takers

Gov. Deval Patrick confirmed this afternoon that he is moving to eliminate roughly 320 toll takers in favor of an electronic tolling plan that would cost about $100 million, following a Herald Truth Squad report that first detailed his proposal today.

No-brainer for sure.. though I am a little worred that the "fast lane" wont be so fast anymore.. of course there's only one reason I put this link in here...

 Im comin outta the boooooth!

3. What a Fine Lookin Jew

And while we're at it...  might as well fire this one up!

Funny to listen to this now and realize how dated it is... I mean, this isnt that old, yet all the people in this 1st version are. I bet most teenagers dont even know who half of these celebrities are these days.

4. Not-so Fine Lookin Jew

Poor Corey. Though, has to be one of the more fascinating interviews the AV club "random roles" has come up with..

Welcome to Random Roles, wherein we talk to actors about the characters who defined their careers. The catch: They don’t know beforehand what roles we’ll ask them to talk about.
The actor: Corey Feldman’s acting career began in the ’70s, when his successful stint as a child actor found him making a flurry of appearances in commercials, TV series, and movies, but it was a trifecta of films during the mid-’80s—The Goonies, Stand By Me, and The Lost Boys—that transformed him into one of the decade’s most recognizable teen actors. Although his career has featured the same ebbs and flows as any actor, Feldman continues to work steadily and can be seen in 6 Degrees Of Hell, now available on DVD.

5. This is 40

R-rated trailer posted.. nice. Looks even funnier than I had hoped.. I love Jason Segel's creepy character in this.. glad they brought him back.Classic line:

"What's the difference between a gay man's moustache and a straight man's moustache?"
"The smell"

6.This is News?

Anyone who watches local TV news about the bread and butter...

Here's a nice lil slideshow of some of the year's greats...

7. Mr Big Shot

From our Dwight Howard Eat Your Heart Out Correspondent...

Dwight Howard.. Eat your heart out.

8. Xmas Fails

As a Jew who keeps hearing Christmas Music everywhere I go.. I took great pleasure from this little compilation..

Twelve Christmas Song Fails: John Travolta, Justin Bieber & More (VIDEO)

From John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John’s cringe-worthy reunion to Snoop Dogg’s rap about Santa in the ghetto, too many pop stars have tried and failed to churn out the next great Christmas hit. Hear the worst of the worst. Plus, Malcolm Jones offers a playlist of hidden holiday gems.

Although..... I will say,  I did kinda like Snoop's "Santa Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto"

9.  Chanukah Wails

Now this is some good Holiday Music.

10.  Q in review

I had the privilege of watching some of these PLQ shows over the weekend.. and as I mentioned on Friday... Minds. Blown.

11. Houston... we have a problem

At least according to Shaugnessy..  I will say, I can't remember him going out on a limb like this in recent memory. Usually he's the wet blanket at the Boston Sports Party.

Texans have no chance vs. Patriots

Matt Schaub and the Texans enter Monday’s game with an 11-1 record.

Matt Schaub and the Texans enter Monday’s game with an 11-1 record.
The Patriots are going to win tonight.
And they are going to dominate the Houston Texans.
This is it, people. This will be the coming-out party for the 2012 Belichickmen. This is the tipping point. All the national football folk will be on board after this “Monday Night Football” contest. From this night forward, the Patriots will be favorites to get back to the Super Bowl.
Prepare to be shocked and awed. The 11-1 Texans are going down hard.

I'd like to say I share his optimism.. but while I do think the Pats will squeak out a win... I do not think it will be a blowout. But for the sake of my fantasy football team, I sure hope I'm wrong.

Enjoy the game, and the latkes!
